L’open source a gagné ses lettres de noblesse et désormais, l’ensemble des systèmes, même les plus critiques, sont concernés.
Selon une enquête menée en 2008 par CIO.com auprès de chefs d’entreprise et de responsables informatiques, plus de la moitié des entreprises (53%) ont déjà recours à l’Open Source, et 10% envisagent de le déployer au cours des 12 prochains mois. De plus, 44% des participants à l’enquête indiquent qu’ils comparent systématiquement les avantages et les inconvénients des applications Open Source par rapport aux solutions propriétaires en phase d'étude.
Pour ceux qui n’ont pas encore sauté le pas et qui, liés à leurs infrastructures propriétaires, ne se sont pas encore suffisamment intéressé à l’open source et à ses nombreux avantages, Red Hat et ses partenaires organisent un tour de France pour répondre à des questions aussi diverses que :

Virtualisation, clusters haute-disponibilité, solutions d’administration, problématiques métier, développement et mise en production, middleware sont autant de questions qui seront abordées lors des plénières et ateliers dédiés à Red Hat Enterprise Linux et JBoss Enterprise Middleware.
