Após três anos dedicados ao Projeto Fedora Brasil, Rodrigo Padula é contratado pela Red Hat para aprimorar relações com a comunidade e alavancar o programa Red Hat Academy

A Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), líder mundial em soluções open source, anuncia a contratação de Rodrigo Padula, na função de Gerente de Relacionamento com a Comunidade para América Latina. O executivo tem a missão de aprimorar as relações da Red Hat com a comunidade open source e de alavancar o programa “Red Hat Academy” (projeto de parcerias com grandes universidades).

Padula esteve à frente do Projeto Fedora Brasil (www.projetofedora.org) desde a sua criação, em 2005, quando foi nomeado o primeiro embaixador do Fedora no país. De forma voluntária, o executivo ajudou a propagar o modelo dentro e fora do Brasil, conquistando mais de 50 novos embaixadores.


“Com certeza será muito positivo trabalhar em algo que eu acredito e gosto tanto”, resume. Nos últimos três anos, Padula atuou na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) envolvido em projetos de desenvolvimento de software e implantação de software livre nas Forças Armadas.

O executivo é graduado em sistema da informação pela FMG – Faculdade Metodista Grambery, de Juíz de Fora (MG) e atualmente se dedica ao mestrado no Programa de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computação (PESC), do COPPE (Instituto Alberto Luiz Coimbra de Pós Graduação e Pesquisa de Engenharia), pertencente à UFRJ.
