Red Hat AI InstructLab on IBM Cloud
Red Hat® AI InstructLab on IBM Cloud® lets enterprise users contribute unique data into large language models (LLMs). Use InstructLab to explore how generative AI can serve your organization’s business needs.
What is Red Hat AI InstructLab on IBM Cloud?
Red Hat AI InstructLab on IBM Cloud lets domain experts contribute knowledge and skills into a large language model (LLM).
InstructLab is an open source project that simplifies LLM development, enabling a community-driven, cost-effective approach to align models with less data and fewer resources.
IBM Cloud is an enterprise cloud platform designed for even the most regulated industries, delivering a highly resilient, performant, secure, and compliant cloud.
Together, Red Hat AI InstructLab on IBM Cloud offers a scalable, cost-effective solution to simplify, scale, and secure the alignment of your LLMs to your organization’s unique use-cases.
Customize an LLM in 3 steps
For an LLM to suit your generative AI use case needs, you need to instruct it with company-specific information. With Red Hat AI InstructLab on IBM Cloud, this can be done in 3 steps:
1. Upload taxonomy
Start with Granite models, which have been trained with general knowledge and skills. Then, with InstructLab tools, add your own specialized knowledge and skills.
2. Generate synthetic data
Next, InstructLab will generate synthetic data to augment the human-generated information. Generating synthetic data significantly reduces reliance on human annotations and requires fewer computing resources than traditional training methods.
3. Train custom model
Finally, the new knowledge will be merged into the model.
