Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), leader mondiale nella fornitura di soluzioni open source, annuncia un nuovo livello di certificazione che permetterà agli amministratori di sistema di validare le loro capacità di svolgere le attività chiave richieste ai system administrator Red Hat Enterprise Linux negli ambienti IT moderni. La nuova certificazione, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), sostituirà l’attuale Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) con il lancio di Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. Red Hat ha inoltre annunciato di aver ristrutturato il curriculum di training con l’implementazione di un approccio formativo facile e intuitivo, e che offrirà percorsi di training diversi maggiormente allineati agli attuali ruoli e attività IT.
Red Hat offre i corsi di certificazione Linux per system administrator da oltre 10 anni. In questo periodo, lo scenario dell’infrastruttura IT è molto cambiato, le implementazioni Linux in ambiente enterprise si sono estese, i ruoli sono più fluidi e i system administrator necessitano di competenze su piattaforme diverse per gestire i complessi data center odierni. Di conseguenza, Red Hat Training ha ristrutturato il suo curriculum al fine di offrire percorsi di formazione che combaciano meglio con i diversi profili, background e competenze, comprese quelle di amministratori Windows e Solaris.

Per i professionisti IT che non hanno una grande esperienza Linux, la formazione inizia con i corsi Red Hat System Administration I e II, compreso l’esame RHCSA. Per coloro che invece vantano almeno un anno di esperienza sarà disponibile un corso RHCSA Fast Track accelerato. Per aiutare i partecipanti interessati a identificare il giusto percorso, la valutazione delle capacità è stata pensata per riflettere il nuovo curriculum e fornire training multi-corso sulla base di obiettivi ed expertise.

Coloro che superano il test saranno maggiormente in grado di gestire le frequenti e critiche attività richieste agli amministratori di sistemi Linux. Anche se vi sono distinzioni chiave tra i programmi RHCSA e RHCT, le certificazioni RHCSA saranno disponibili retroattivamente per coloro che hanno ottenuto la qualifica RHCT su Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
Il nuovo curriculum di Red Hat offre 4 diversi percorsi per professionisti IT. Uno per Windows e personale IT abituato a una gestione GUI-based, uno per Solaris, così come track per system administrator Linux senior e di medio livello. Ogni percorso è ottimizzato per fare leva sulle competenze esistenti e si focalizza su attività immediatamente rilevanti.
Red Hat Training pone da sempre l’accento su laboratori pratici hands-on per i partecipanti ai corsi affinché possano praticare competenze e capacità.
